Construction of Payan Tagab Ghalmin Primary School
The Construction of Payan Tagab Ghalmin Primary School project was implemented in Chaghcharan District of Ghor Province with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan. The project was undertaken as an education infrastructure initiative aimed at expanding access to suitable learning facilities and improving educational opportunities for children within the targeted community. Under the project, one primary school building comprising 6 classrooms was constructed to serve approximately 312 students, including both girls and boys. The new facility was intended to provide students and teachers with a safe, functional, and appropriate environment for regular teaching and learning activities. Project activities included the construction of the school building and completion of the associated works required to establish a functional primary education facility. The intervention focused on creating adequate classroom capacity, improving the physical learning environment, and strengthening the educational infrastructure available to children in the surrounding communities. The project was implemented from 1 November 2010 to 1 November 2011, with a reported project value of 105,000. Through the construction of the six-classroom school building, the intervention contributed to improving access to primary education and providing approximately 312 girls and boys with an appropriate and dedicated learning environment. Overall, the project represented an important investment in education and community infrastructure. The construction of Payan Tagab Ghalmin Primary School strengthened local educational capacity, improved learning conditions, and established a sustainable education facility for children in Chaghcharan District, Ghor Province, with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan.
